Lisa Holmes is an experienced executive leader and board member with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit sector, communications, and government relations industry. She currently facilitates Government Relations and Municipal Compliance for a national retailer, previously working as Vice President of Corporate Development for Northlands. Prior to her work in the corporate sector, she was elected to serve the beautiful community of Morinville, Alberta as a Councillor in 2010 and as Mayor from 2013-2017. She is the Past President of the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association, Past Chairperson of the Alberta Municipal Services Corporation and Former Director on the Board of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.  Lisa did her post-secondary studies in Political Science and Economics at Okanagan University and MA in Leadership from Royal Roads and has worked for several provincial and national not-for-profit organizations. In 2017, she was the only Albertan appointed to the Smart City Challenge Jury by Infrastructure Canada. Lisa was named a Global Edmonton Woman of Vision for January 2017, Avenue Magazine Top 40 under 40 in October 2016 and one of Alberta Venture Magazine’s 50 most influential Albertans. She and her husband Thomas live in St. Albert, Alberta with their two sons.
